Charlie Duffy shares her top Winter Skincare tips...

It’s getting chilly outside, and if you’re like me you’ll be noticing that your skin is looking like it needs a new lease of life after facing the elements everyday…Top Make-up artist Charlie Duffy has kindly given us her top tips on how to look after your skin over the upcoming chilly months and keep that glow for the festive season!

1 Skin becomes dehydrated in the winter due to the weather and central heating. In order to combat this keep it hydrated with an extra nourishing moisturiser or add a few drops of face serum to your regular moisturiser.
2 Lips become chapped and sore due to the elements in Winter. To combat this keep them regularly plastered with a good lip balm (nothing with camphorin) as this has a drying effect.
3 Bodies tend to get neglected in the Winter. Keep all those areas that are on show in those Christmas party outfits (legs arms and backs)scrubbed and treated to a good dose of body oil. Apply after a bath when the skin is most porous paying particular attention to knees and elbows!
4 Make up should have more moisturising properties. Cream blushers will give a youthful glow, lips and eyes with a shimmer will lift tired skin.
5 Last but not least hands need extra care and attention over the winter months. Keeping plenty of rich hand cream by your bed is a sure way thatyou don’t forget even if it is last thing at night!
